Get started with Fieldfolio for iPad

## Your first catalog invite
To get up and running as a Rep on Fieldfolio, you'll first need to accept an invite from a seller to a catalog. A seller can invite you using your email address.

Once a seller invites you to their catalog, you will receive an email with a link to activate your Rep account. Click __Activate your Fieldfolio Rep account__ to open the signup form in your browser.

__Important:__ Make sure to use the same email address that received the invite in the signup form.

## Subsequent catalog invites
Your Rep account is not tied to a single seller or catalog. Once you have created a Fieldfolio Rep account, you can be invited by any seller to any catalog.

Any time a seller subsequently invites you to another catalog, we'll notify you again by email and the catalog will automatically appear for you in Fieldfolio for iPad.

## Go to the App Store

Fieldfolio is an iPad-only iOS app, so you'll need to search the iOS App Store from your iPad.

From the home screen on your iPad, tap the 'App Store' icon.

## Install Fieldfolio

Tap 'Search' in the bottom tab bar to bring up the search bar, then search for 'Fieldfolio'.

Tap the 'Get' button to the right of the Fieldfolio icon.

Once downloading and installing is finished, tap 'Open' to launch Fieldfolio.

__Note:__ You will need your Apple ID password (for your iTunes or iCloud accounts).

Activate your Fieldfolio Rep account

On your iPad, launch the Fieldfolio app and enter the email address and password you used to activate your Fieldfolio Rep account.

Logging in will automatically sync all the catalogs that your Rep account has access to. Offline catalog browsing and ordering is enabled by default.

If you just want to get a feel for the app, you can tap __Demonstration Mode__ to [browse the demonstration catalog](1okZjFlrVyaGaEQSWc6Yqq).

After logging in, you will be presented with the catalog(s) that your Rep account has been invited to.

Tapping a catalog cover will open that catalog and automatically start a new order.

Once you've selected a catalog, you'll be asked to select a customer.

Tap a customer to review their details, then tap 'Use This Customer' to start browsing and adding products to an order for that customer.

### Pro Tip

You can select from an existing customer, add a new customer, or tap 'Later' to skip this step and choose a customer at the end of the order.

Once you've selected a catalog, you can add a new customer.

Tap 'Add New Customer' to begin entering the new customer's details.

Once all details are complete, you can review the new customer, then tap 'Use This Customer' to start browsing and adding products to an order for that new customer.

Browsing products in a catalog is simple, just tap a product to bring a larger image and product details panel.

To return to the product list, tap the 'x' in the top-left corner of the panel, or anywhere on the dark background behind the panel.

## Filtering using labels

Labels are built-in to Fieldfolio. A seller can apply one of the following predefined labels to a product:

- New
- Best Sellers
- Specials
- Upcoming
- Sold Out
- Discontinued

Tap the sidebar icon in the top-right of the screen to open the sidebar, then tap one or more labels to show products matching your selected labels.

To clear label filters, tap 'Show All' in the menu bar.

## Filter using categories

Categories are created by a seller. A seller can create and apply one or more categories to a product.

Filtering by categories works in the same way as filtering by labels.

### Pro Tip

You can filter by both labels and categories at the same time.

## Plus button

Adding a product to the current order is as simple as tapping the plus (+) button in the bottom-right of the product image.

Tapping once adds the minimum quantity for a product. Tapping again will increase the quantity by one.

## Tap and hold for the numeric keypad

Tap and hold the plus button to bring up the numeric keypad. Any quantity can be entered via the keypad, but the minimum quantity for that product will still be respected.

### Pro Tip

Anywhere the purple quantity box appears, the same tap once / tap and hold for the numeric keypad behavior is the same.

## Bookmark a promising product

When a customer shows interest in a product but is hesitant to order straight away, you can bookmark that product for later. When you're reviewing the order, all your bookmarked products are ready to be reconsidered and added the order.

## Reviewing the current order

After browsing a catalog and adding products to an order, tap 'Review & Post' to go to the summary of the order.

## Adding bookmarked and previously ordered products

Bookmarked products can be added to the order by tapping the plus (+) button.

If you've selected a customer at the start of the order, any products that customer has previously ordered will be shown and can also be added to the order by tapping the plus (+) button.

## Order options

Once you've added products and reviewed the order, you can quickly set some order options and optionally add a note.

If a customer has more than one delivery address, you must choose from a list of available delivery addresses.

Any notes that you will be printed at the bottom of the order and will be visible to both the customer and the seller.

Choose a delivery address, shipping method, add notes and more before posting an order.

Shown above is the whole ordering process from start to finish.

## Posting the order

Tap 'Next' in the order options panel to show the order. Both the customer and the seller will receive an order that looks exactly the same.

Tap 'Post' in the top-right corner of the order to immediately send the order to the seller.

If you're offline and do not have an internet connection the order is saved on your iPad to be sent later. When you're in WiFi or cellular range, launch the Fieldfolio app again to send any orders you've posted while offline.

After the order is posted, you can choose to email the order to any email address or print to a WiFi connected printer.


To show a list of your orders across all sellers and customers tap 'orders' in the top-left corner of the catalog list screen.

Tapping an order in the list shows the order in the usual Fieldfolio format.

Before planning a sales call, you may want to review a customer's order history.

To find a customer's order history, follow these steps:

Before tapping 'Use this customer', scroll down to the bottom of the customer details to find the customer order history. If there are no past orders to show, the 'Order History' section will not be visible.

To view the order, tap anywhere on the order to bring up the order details.

## What is an order history?

An order history is a list of past orders that are available for review in the iPad app. There are two kinds of order history available:

### Your order history
[Your order history](1DoHMo1x9OUKI4CGuqCgeK) shows any orders that you have posted for any customer across all catalogs that you currently have access to. Your order history shows up to 500 orders from the last 12 months.

### Customer order history
A [customer order history](3AupDtClwI4eIWGOCK2AMQ) shows orders that have been posted by you or any other Rep, or by the customer online, in the last 12 months.

## Order history syncing

__Order history syncing__ is an automatic process that checks for past orders and downloads them to your iPad.

Provided your iPad has an internet connection, all order histories are kept up-to-date automatically in the background.

Up to __2000 of the latest orders in the last 12 months__, across all catalogs you have access to, are synced when you first login to the iPad app.

Everytime you launch the iPad app or return to the main catalog selection screen any new orders for customers belonging to catalogs you have access to are synced.

Order syncing is limited to the last 12 months, however orders that have already been synced previously are not deleted from your iPad, so over time your order history will include orders from further in the past than 12 months.

Once you've installed and launched the Fieldfolio app, simply tap __Demonstration Mode__ underneath the login panel to login as the demonstration Rep user.

Once logged in, the demonstration catalog will be downloaded and ready to browse in a few seconds. Tap the demonstration catalog cover to get started.
